No sister act for Katrina Kaif and Isabelle

Bollywood may have had several sister-pairs, but looks like the Kaif girls won’t be counted among them after all.
Katrina Kaif’s sister Isabelle, who makes her acting debut in Jean-Francois Pouillot’s Dr Cabbie, has given up her plans of pursuing a career in Bollywood.

“While Katrina has no interest in a film career outside Bollywood, her sister Isabelle has decided against it. Katrina felt that as she and Isabelle share similar looks and personalities, it would work to her sister’s detriment in Bollywood. They decided that pursuing their careers in different domains made more sense,” said a source close to the Kaif family.

The family has collectively taken a call that Isabelle should focus on building an international career and not one in Bollywood, our source added: “That’s why Isabelle took up Dr Cabbie — it’s a Canadian project and Isabelle’s co-star Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory actor) is very popular abroad. And most importantly, Salman Khan is presenting Dr Cabbie.”

Our source also says that Isabelle had to audition for her part in Dr Cabbie like any newcomer. Dr Cabbie’s lead actor Vinay Virmani is all praise for the debutante. “Isabelle is very good in the film. She has all the star qualities of Katrina, plus the advantage of being in no hurry to become a star,” he said.
